Reporter shot by police and still ordered to leave

On May 1st, 2006 Elijah Mothershed was assaulted by the Los Angeles police department when he was shot in the right shoulder with a rubber bullet at close range, while filming the (A Day Without a Mexican Immigration Protest). As he attempted to raise from the ground he was then hit in the back several times with batons. The video starts at the end of the protest where a crowd of more than 450,000 people are dispersing from Mac Arthur Park.
